Over the years, Ohio Lawyers Give Back have helped hundreds of organizations receive funding through a Cy Pres distribution. We work with organizations like human service agencies, medical research and disease prevention efforts, child welfare organizations, women’s protective services, legal public services, homelessness, addiction, and more that serve the welfare and needs of communities throughout Ohio and beyond.
Class action cases can take many years to resolve, and the amount of funds available for Cy Pres vary widely from case to case. However, when new funds become available, we consider a wide-range of organizations that serve the community.
If your nonprofit would like to be considered for inclusion in a future Cy Pres distribution, please complete and submit the information form below.
Organization Eligibility:
Organizations must be organized and qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and must provide direct service to individuals
Umbrella organizations are ineligible for funds
Political advocacy groups are not eligible
Cy Pres recipients are selected on an ad hoc basis with consideration given to the geographic location of the class members.
