Womankind Maternal and Prenatal Care CenterSince 1975, Womankind has been providing free prenatal care and a full range of support services to pregnant women and families from all over Northeast Ohio. All of our services are provided at no cost to the clients, and include pregnancy testing, comprehensive prenatal care through 28 weeks, planning for third trimester care and delivery, counseling, childbirth classes, assistance with baby items, and referrals for other services that Womankind does not directly provide. Over the years, thousands of women from throughout Northeast Ohio of all ages and circumstances have experienced the loving, non-judgmental support of Womankind's staff and volunteers.Cy Pres Award DonationWomankind is supported almost entirely by individual donors, and is able to serve approximately 1,700 women each year on a cash budget of $500,000. We are able to do this because Womankind, with a small paid staff, relies on the dedication of the many volunteers who are involved in every aspect of our services, and through careful stewardship of the donations we receive. The special gift of the cy pres monies received from Dworken and Bernstein. represents roughly 25% of our annual cash budget and will go a long way in helping Womankind ensure that no woman has to face a pregnancy without hope and without help.website: http://www.womankindcleveland.com |
