Lakeland Community College was the first public college in Ohio established by a vote of the people in 1967.
Since then, our students have had the opportunity to learn skill sets for high-demand careers or take credit courses that transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
Today, Lakeland’s new Holden University Center provides even more access to complete a bachelor’s or graduate degree. Several leading colleges and universities now offer a variety of programs there in a state-of-the-art building directly across the street from main campus in Kirtland, which is located just south of I-90 on the Route 306 exit.

Dworken & Bernstein’s generous sponsorship of the Management Lecture Series at Lakeland will ensure that business students continue to receive exposure to top business professionals from Northeast Ohio for years to come.  Over 180 speakers and panelists have shared insights and answered student questions for almost forty years.
Today, the Dworken & Bernstein Management Lecture Series is also open to the public as it continues to uphold the Lakeland business management department’s mission to provide excellence in management education.
