Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is a caring community that supports, educates and empowers individuals and families touched by cancer through programs and services provided free of charge. The focus of our programming is on healing the mind, body and spirit. TGP serves all ages (starting with 2 year olds); any type of cancer diagnosis; both genders; and is not religiously affiliated. The organization is available to anyone regardless of where they receive their medical care. Entry point is at any place along the continuum of oncology care…diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment and if need be, bereavement. Some of the programs are:  lending medical library with a full-time medical librarian; exercise programs; nutritional assessment and demonstration cooking classes; massage, reiki, reflexology; art therapy; horticulture therapy; full children’s programming; labyrinth and more.
