CrossroadsServing the people of Lake County since 1971, Crossroads serves more than 19,000 children and families each year by offering a broad range of mental health and substance-abuse services. Our social workers, counselors, educators and psychiatrists offer individual treatment plans, education, and outreach programs in the schools and community. We work with children and families from pregnancy through adolescence.Our trained professionals can provide clinic- based, home-based and school-based services to help with many issues including but not limited to bullying and peer violence, teen pregnancy, sexual, physical or emotional abuse or neglect, childhood trauma, suicide prevention. Our staff can provide several services including but not limited to behavioral health assessments, mental health prevention programs, community psychiatric supportive treatment and others. The staff takes a strengths-based, multidisciplinary team approach to treatment. The lineup of programs available to our clients is constantly evolving as new problems emerge and we find more effective ways to deal with them. Parents and caregivers must be involved in the treatment of their children for it to be successful. We strive to make all of our programs client-centered, high quality, effective, efficient and based on positive outcomes. Cy Pres Award DonationCrossroads anticipates using the funds to establish a model Child Development Center for residents of Lake County. The goal is to improve the overall quality of child care and family support available in this area.
